Misha

„Misha”

(a fairy tale from a book by Bruno Ferrero "Stories" – partly in self-adaptation)

Misha was a small teddy bear. He had red velvet feet, eyes made of buttons and a nose made of a ball of wool. It belonged to a capricious little girl, who hugged him sometimes, and sometimes tossed it on the floor or tampered with his delicate cloth ears. He wanted to change his fate with all his heart: he wanted to see the woods, fields and stars, breathe the fresh air and get to know the world around him.

One day he made the most important decision of his life: decided to run away from the girl. He took advantage of the confusion, as it was in the days leading up to Christmas, he saw an open door and was at liberty.

Tapping your feet, he wandered in the snow and was happier than ever. Świat pełen był obiektów do czynienia wspaniałych odkryć: trees grew along the road, in whose wide branches were nesting birds, delighting Misha with their singing. Stars shone in the night sky. Misha's eyes widened: everything was incredibly beautiful.

It was Christmas Eve. Evening, in which all creatures should do something good. Suddenly Misha heard the chimes of the sledge. It was a reindeer, who was dragging the sledge behind him, filled to the brim with packages wrapped in colored papers. He explained to the bear cub, that he replaces Santa Claus, who is already too old and tired, to hike in the snow.

The reindeer invited Misha to the sleigh. And so the bear began to tour towns and villages in a magical cart filled with presents. It was he who placed a toy or other specially prepared gift by each fireplace. He enjoyed this activity, enjoyed it. If it were still just an ordinary toy, he could not have lived such a night.

Here they reached the last home: a poor hut on the edge of the forest. Misha put his paw in the big bag, was looking for, he turned - but found nothing there.

– Reindeer, Reindeer! There's nothing left in your sack! – cried teddy.

Och… – a worried reindeer groaned.

A sick boy lived in the hut. Could be waking up tomorrow, he was supposed to find nothing beside his bed? The reindeer looked pleadingly at Misha with his beautiful eyes. The bear cub sighed deeply, he looked around, looking out over the fields, on which he wandered with such pleasure. He looked at the forest, and then he entered the cottage and to do his good deed of Christmas, he hid in the shoe of a sick boy, in which he waited until morning.
